Frequently Asked Questions

Q What services do you offer?

A. We can serve all your permanent hair removal needs with either electrolysis or thermolysis, targeting hair on any body part. In addition to hair removal, we also can help you with the removal of skin tags or broken capillaries (AKA spider veins).

Q. Why should I choose Electrolysis over other types of hair removal?

A. Although there are many reasons to choose electrolysis over other methods, such as tweezing, shaving, waxing or laser, there is one reason which stands above all the others: permanence! By using electrolysis, unwanted hair will be removed safely and permanently.

Q. Is Electrolysis really permanent?

A. Yes, electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal. All other methods are temporary, including laser.

Q. Does electrolysis hurt?

A. Each individuals pain tolerance level varies. It is a minor discomfort to some while others are able to sleep during the treatments.

Q. Are electrolysis treatments available for men?

A. Yes! Common problem areas for men are the outer ear and nose, the center of the eyebrows, the cheeks, back, and beard.

Q. What has been around longer, laser or electrolysis?

A. Electrologists have been in business for 125 years while laser has only been in North America for the past 20 years. Laser hair removal was originally thought to be permanent when the technology was relatively new on the market. However, due to the fact that very often hair does come back after a few years, laser hair removal is no longer considered permanent. Electrolysis remains the only permanent method of hair removal.

Q. When is a good time to start electrolysis on my legs and bikini-line?

A. Anytime is fine, but if you want to be hair free for the Spring or Summer we suggest that you start electrolysis in the early Fall or Winter.
